The U.S. military said Monday that two additional American service members have died during operations against Iran, bringing the total number of U.S. deaths to six.
U.S. Central Command said the remains of the two previously unaccounted‑for service members were recently recovered from a facility struck during Iran ’s initial attacks in the region. The military did not disclose where the deaths occurred and said the service members’ identities will be withheld until 24 hours after their families are notified.
At least 555 people have been killed in Iran during the U.S.-Israeli campaign , according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, which said more than 130 cities across the country have been attacked. Authorities said 11 people have been killed in Israel and 31 in Lebanon.
