Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi has officially taken over as the new Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), pledging to strengthen security and tackle criminal activities across Abuja.

Sanusi, who assumes office as the 35th Commissioner of Police in the FCT Command, vowed to intensify efforts in combating crime and ensuring the safety of residents in the nation’s capital.

He warned criminal elements to desist from unlawful activities or face the full weight of the law, stressing that the command under his leadership would not tolerate any form of insecurity.

Sanusi also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and residents, urging members of the public to support security agencies with timely and credible information.

The new CP reiterated his commitment to professionalism, discipline, and improved service delivery within the command, noting that officers would be held accountable in the discharge of their duties.

His appointment comes at a time when concerns over security in the FCT remain a top priority, with authorities seeking to reinforce safety measures and maintain law and order across the capital.
