ATS compatibility check 🔒

A rule-based best-practices check — missing sections, weak bullet phrasing, template risk. Subscribe to run it.

About this tool

Resume Builder helps you build a clean resume or CV and download it as a PDF. You fill in your details section by section and the tool lays them out neatly, so you can focus on what to say instead of how to format it.

The Classic template is free. Two extra templates and an ATS compatibility check are Premium. Everything you type is used on your device to build the PDF, and nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Enter your contact details and a short summary of who you are.
  2. Add your work experience, education and skills.
  3. Check the preview and choose a template.
  4. Download your resume as a PDF and read the whole thing once more before you send it.

Example

A graduate with little work experience lists their education first, adds a short internship with two bullet points about what they did, then lists their skills. The result is a one-page CV that fits the way most employers expect to read it.

Tips

  • Keep it to one page if you are early in your career, and two at most when you have a longer history.
  • Start bullet points with action words and include a number where you can, such as trained 12 new staff.
  • Tailor your summary and skills to each job you apply for.
  • Use a professional email address.
