Who we are

Fundpeeps ("we", "us", "our") runs fundpeeps.com (the "Service"), a collection of online tools for documents, study, images and everyday tasks. The Service is operated by Fundpeeps, based in Nigeria. You can reach us at admin@fundpeeps.com.

The short version

• Tools labelled "Runs in your browser" process your files and text on your own device. We do not receive them.
• A few tools use a partner service. They are labelled, and each one is described below.
• If you create an account, we keep your account details and your credit and payment records. We never see your card details.
• Our email list is optional. We only email you after you confirm, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Secret Messages are anonymous to the person who receives them. They are not anonymous to us, as explained below.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Your account. When you register we collect your name, email address and password. Your password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. We also record whether you have confirmed your email address. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email address; we do not receive your Google password.

Your plan and credits. We keep your plan, your credit balances, and a record of which paid tools you used, when, and how many credits they cost.

Courses. If you buy or enrol in a course, we keep which courses you have access to, when and how you got access, and which lessons you have marked as complete.

Quizzes. If a course has a final quiz, we keep the times of your attempts, your latest score and whether you passed. We keep your score and result, not a copy of your answers.

Certificates. If you ask for a certificate of completion, we keep a record of it: its ID, your name as it appeared on your account, the course and the date. Anyone who has the certificate's ID or link can see that name, the course and the date on our verification page. We only create a certificate when you ask for one.

Reviews. If you write a course review, we keep it with your star rating, your account name and your email address. Once approved, it is shown publicly on the course page with your first name and the first letter of your last name.

Payments. Payments are handled by Flutterwave. We keep a record of each transaction: its reference, amount, currency, what you bought, and whether it succeeded. We do not receive or store your card or bank details.

Article pass. If you buy a Premium article pass, we keep the date your pass runs until, alongside the payment record above.

Email list. If you join our email list (from a signup box, the tick box when you register, or your dashboard), we keep your email address, whether you have confirmed it, the page you signed up on, and the dates. We start sending only after you confirm. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address marked as unsubscribed so that we do not email you again, unless you ask us to delete it.

Secret Messages. If you create a Secret Messages link, we keep the link name you choose, the name shown to people who visit it, your dare choice and your inbox settings. The name on your link page is public. When someone sends you a message through your link, we keep the message text, the dare it answers, the date, and a scrambled (hashed) form of the sender's IP address. We use that scrambled address only to limit spam, to block a sender when you choose, and to review reports. You never see anything about the sender. Messages that contain links or contact details are rejected, and messages with certain harmful words are held and read by us instead of being delivered. Messages you report are also read by us. The picture you can make from a message to share on WhatsApp Status is created on your own device and is not uploaded.

Favourites and recent tools. If you are signed in, we keep the tools you saved with the star and the last few tools you opened, so they appear in your dashboard. You can remove stars and clear the recent list yourself at any time.

Visit counts. We count, per day, how many times each tool page and article is opened, and how many times a tool finishes a job (for example, a file is downloaded). These are totals. No name, email address or IP address is attached to them. We do not count administrators, known bots, or visitors whose browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Team page. People who help build Fundpeeps can appear on our Team page with their name, role, photo, short bio and links. We publish these only with the person's permission.

Invitations. If you take part in our invite-a-friend programme, we keep your invitation code, who joined with it, the status of any rewards, and a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address used at sign-up. We use that only to detect people abusing the programme.

Live Avatar consent. Each time you confirm consent to start a Live Avatar session, we record the time (we keep the latest 50 records).

Messages. If you use the contact form, your name, email address, subject and message are sent to us by email; they are not saved on the website. If you appeal an account suspension and attach an ID image, the image is attached to the email we receive and is not kept on the website afterwards.

Technical data. Like most websites, our host logs standard details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and operation. We also use short-lived counters, keyed to a scrambled form of your IP address, to limit sign-in attempts, free daily use and other automated abuse. These expire on their own, within minutes up to the end of the day.

On your device. Some things are saved in your own browser and are never sent to us: your light/dark preference and chosen language; your Exam Prep progress and settings; your Study Timer settings and statistics; the sender details you type into the Invoice tool (name, email, address, phone and logo) and the issuer details in the Certificate tool, so you don't have to retype them; and a copy of the Remove Background AI model, so it only downloads once. For the tool search and visit counting, your browser also keeps short-lived notes for the length of your visit (a copy of the tool list, and a flag so one visit is not counted twice); these disappear when you close the tab. You can clear all of this in your browser's settings.

Offline copies. If you install our app or save tools for offline use, your device keeps copies of tool pages so they open without data. These are the same public pages anyone sees when signed out. They are fetched without your account, so they contain none of your personal information, and they stay on your own device. You can remove them any time from the app page or in your browser's settings.

Your files, photos and text

Browser tools. Our PDF tools, Invoice, Certificate and Resume builders, Remove Background, House Plan Generator, Study Timer, Base64 tool, Currency Converter and similar tools labelled "Runs in your browser" work on your device. Your files and what you type are not uploaded to us.

The following work differently:

• Maths Solver. Typed problems are solved in your browser. If you use the photo tab, your photo is resized in your browser and then sent through our server to Google's Gemini service, which reads the text. We do not keep the photo. On Google's free tier, submitted content may be used to improve Google's products, so please do not upload photos that show personal information.
• Live Avatar. Your reference photo and live camera stream are sent to Decart, an AI video provider, while a session runs. They are not sent to or recorded by our servers. The face-match check runs on your device.
• Exam Prep. Questions are downloaded, through our server, from the ALOC Station question bank. Your answers, scores and progress stay in your browser.
• Language switcher. When you pick a language other than English, the text displayed on the page (not what you type into boxes) is sent through our server to Microsoft Azure Translator, and the translation is stored for up to 30 days so repeat requests are quick. Text that appears on the page, such as a result, can be included.
• Courses. Course lessons can be videos from YouTube or Vimeo, or PDFs, videos and downloads that we host. When you play a YouTube or Vimeo lesson, that service can see your IP address and device details, and may set cookies. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player and ask Vimeo not to track you. Files we host are shown only to people who have access to the course, and what you watch or download is not shared with anyone.
• Social Boost. This is a link to Boostpeeps, a separate website with its own terms and privacy policy. Nothing you choose on our page is sent to it.

Partner services

Emails from the Service (such as confirmation links, receipts and replies) are sent through our website's email system.

If you are signed in, a share link may include your invitation code, so that a friend who joins through it is credited to you. Our WhatsApp Channel is run by WhatsApp; joining it shares your phone number and profile name with WhatsApp's service as described in its own policy, not with us.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense on this website. If we do, the following applies. Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons or IP addresses, to collect information when ads are served on this website. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other websites on the internet.

Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before ads that use cookies or similar technology are shown, and you can change your choice later. Ads are labelled as advertisements, and we do not pay for or encourage clicks on them.

You can read how Google uses data when you use its partners' sites, manage personalised ads in Google's ad settings, or opt out of some third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info. Opting out does not stop ads from appearing. It makes them less relevant to you.

How we use information

• To provide the tools, and to run your account, credits and payments.
• To send account emails: confirmation links, receipts, renewal reminders and password resets.
• To keep the Service secure and to prevent abuse and fraud.
• To reply to your messages and appeals.
• To send our weekly email to people who subscribed.
• To filter, review and remove abusive anonymous messages, and to limit spam.
• To show your favourite and recently used tools.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used so we can improve it.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing our agreement with you (accounts, credits and payments), our legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving the Service), your consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the partner services above (to the extent a tool you use needs them), where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

We never tell a person who sent them an anonymous message. If the law requires it, for example in a case of threats or harassment, we may give the authorities information we hold, such as server records.

How long we keep it

• Account details: until you ask us to delete your account.
• Payment records: as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes, even after an account is deleted.
• Live Avatar consent records: the latest 50.
• Email list: until you unsubscribe. An unsubscribed address stays on file, marked as unsubscribed, so you are not emailed again. Ask us if you want it deleted.
• Anonymous messages: deleted automatically after 60 days, or sooner if you delete them or close your account.
• Favourites and recent tools: until you remove them or ask us to delete your account.
• Visit counts: daily totals, kept for up to 13 months.
• Article pass dates: as long as your account exists.
• Course access and progress, and quiz results: until you ask us to delete your account, or the course is removed.
• Certificates and reviews: until you ask us to remove them or delete your account.
• Email confirmation links: they expire after 24 hours.
• Email log and retries: a short log of the emails we send (your address with part of it hidden, the subject, and whether it was sent) is kept for up to 30 days. An email that fails to send is kept for up to 24 hours so that we can try again.
• Abuse-prevention counters: minutes to the end of the day.
• Translations: up to 30 days.
• Messages and appeals: as long as needed to deal with them. They are held in our mailbox, not on the website.
• Files, photos and text in browser tools: not kept, since we never receive them.

Other countries

Some of our partners operate outside the country where you live, for example in the United States and Europe. When you use a tool that relies on them, your information may be processed there.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy, and withdraw consent you have given. To use any of these rights, including deleting your account, contact us. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Secret Messages can be used only by people aged 13 or older.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. See our Security page.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the Service changes, for example when a tool starts using a new partner service. The "Last updated" date below shows the latest revision.
