Osimhen was visibly emotional as Galatasaray S.K. fans unveiled a touching tifo before their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg match against Liverpool F.C.
The match took place at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex RAMS Park, where thousands of fans turned the stadium into a sea of yellow and red.
The tifo featured a large image of Osimhen’s late mother alongside his young daughter, a tribute that left the Nigerian striker in tears.
Despite the emotional moment, Osimhen made an immediate impact on the pitch. Within the first 10 minutes, he provided a precise assist for Mario Lemina, who scored the opener for the home side.
Galatasaray eventually won the match by a goal to nill.
