House Plan Generator

Generate a concept floor plan from your plot size and requirements — a starting point for ideation, not a substitute for a licensed architect.

This is a concept and visualization tool, not an engineered architectural drawing.

It does not account for structural loads, local building codes, soil conditions, or utility routing. Always have a licensed architect or structural engineer review and sign off on any plan before construction begins.

Fills in sensible starting values below — everything stays fully editable afterward.

About this tool

House Plan Generator creates a concept floor plan from your plot size and what you need in the house. Tell it the size of your plot, how many bedrooms and floors you want, and any extras such as a garage, study or balcony. It lays out rooms, shows the plan in 2D and as a 3D model, and lists the rooms, doors and windows.

This is a starting point for ideas and for talking to a professional. It is not an engineered drawing and it is not approved for building. A licensed architect and structural engineer must design and check any house that is actually built. Everything is drawn in your browser, so your inputs stay on your device.

How to use it

  1. Choose the shape of your plot (rectangle or L-shape) and enter its size in metres.
  2. Enter the number of bedrooms and floors, pick a style and tick the extras you want.
  3. Press the generate button and look at each floor in the 2D plan, then try the 3D view.
  4. Check the room, door and window schedules, and use the cost tab to estimate with your own local prices.
  5. Press Download PDF to save the plans, schedules and, if you tick the box, the cost estimate.

Example

You have a plot of 14 m by 18 m and want a four-bedroom house with two floors and a garage. Generate the plan, compare the ground floor and upper floor, and download the PDF to show an architect what you have in mind.

Tips

  • Try more than one set of inputs. Small changes to plot size or rooms can give very different layouts.
  • Change the cost rates to match prices in your area before you rely on the estimate.
  • Take the PDF to an architect as a conversation starter, not as final plans.

Questions people ask

Can I build from these plans?

No. They are concept layouts only. A licensed architect and structural engineer must prepare and check real building plans, and your local authority must approve them.

How accurate is the cost estimate?

It multiplies areas and counts by the rates you enter, so it is only as good as those rates. Real costs depend on location, materials, labour and the final design.

What is in the PDF?

A cover page with your inputs, a plan page and a schedules page for each floor, and an optional cost page.

Is my plot information stored?

No. Everything is calculated and drawn in your browser.

Concept layouts only. Not an engineered, structural or buildable drawing. Have a licensed architect and structural engineer review any real project, and confirm the rules that apply in your area.
