2027 Presidency: Galadima Drops Bold Prediction — “Write It Down, I Said It”

A top leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Buba Galadima, has dismissed claims that the All Progressives Congress is certain to win the 2027 presidential election. In a recent interview, he insisted that the contest remains wide open.

Galadima, who is known to be close to former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, said on February 4, 2026, that controlling many states does not automatically translate into victory at the national level.

He warned Nigerians and the media not to assume that the ruling party has already secured the next election. He also took a swipe at President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of acting above the law and raising concerns about how power is being exercised.

Galadima questioned the idea that any leader is beyond challenge and stressed that Nigeria’s democracy must operate within legal limits.

Speaking on the role of the courts, the NNPP chieftain said the judiciary must be allowed to function freely without pressure from politicians. According to him, the strength of democracy depends on fair rulings and respect for the rule of law.

Galadima further rejected claims that the Peoples Democratic Party is weak or finished. He expressed confidence that the PDP can return stronger and win the next presidential election if it presents the right candidate to Nigerians.

He also cautioned against any plan to manipulate the electoral process, warning that such actions would be resisted.

He concluded by predicting that Nigeria’s political space could witness major changes as 2027 draws closer.
